How to Receive God's Gift of Eternal
Life and Spend Eternity in Heaven
Five things you need to know. . .
1. Eternal Life is a Free Gift
Romans 6:23
For
the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
It is not earned
or deserved. No amount of personal effort, good works, or religious deeds can earn a place in heaven for you.
Ephesians 2:8-9
8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man
should boast.

2. Man is a Sinner and Cannot Save Himself
Romans 3:23
For
all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Sin is anything that we DO that God has
told us NOT to do, or anything we DON'T DO that God has told us to do.
Matthew 5:48
Be
ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Because God's standard is so
high (perfect), man cannot save himself. This creates a problem because. .
3. God is Merciful and God is Just
God doesn't want to punish us.
1 John 4:8

5. Faith - Trusting in Jesus Christ Alone for
Eternal Life
Acts 16:31
. . .Believe
on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. . .

in You for my salvation. I accept the free gift of eternal life."
